Voice-Adaptive Scrolling

Voice-adaptive scrolling uses your microphone to detect when you are speaking. The teleprompter pauses automatically when you stop talking and resumes when you start again, keeping the text in sync with your delivery.

How it works

When voice-adaptive mode is enabled, Cue listens through your microphone for speech activity. When it detects silence (such as when you pause to take a breath or look at the audience), the teleprompter pauses. When you resume speaking, scrolling continues automatically.

Enabling voice-adaptive mode

Toggle the "Voice-Adaptive" switch in the teleprompter control panel. You will need to grant microphone access when prompted. This feature is available on Pro and Max plans.

Tips for best results

  • Use a quiet environment to avoid false triggers from background noise
  • The detection has a short delay (about 500ms) to prevent flickering
  • Works best with a consistent speaking distance from the microphone
  • You can still adjust the base scroll speed while voice-adaptive mode is active
