Understanding WPM and Completion Stats
Cue tracks two key metrics during practice sessions: words per minute (WPM) measures your speaking pace, and completion percentage shows how far through the script you progressed.
Words per minute (WPM)
WPM measures your speaking pace — how many words you deliver per minute. It is calculated by dividing the estimated words spoken (based on your teleprompter progress) by the elapsed time. A typical conversational pace is 130–160 WPM. Faster delivery (170–200 WPM) works for energetic pitches, while slower delivery (100–130 WPM) is better for emotional or technical content.
Completion percentage
Completion shows how far through the script you progressed before finishing or abandoning the session. It is based on the teleprompter scroll position. A 100% completion means you scrolled through the entire script.
